Madhya Pradesh offers comprehensive family planning services to the eligible couple of the state. The public health facilities, namely District Hospital, Community Health Center, Primary Health Center and Sub health center provides the basket of choice for contraceptive methods to the client. According the National Family Health Survey (NFHS) round 4 conducted in 2015-16, the state’s total fertility rate (TFR) stood at 2.3, while 51.4% of the eligible couples use any form of contraception and 12.1% have unmet need for the contraceptive methods. The projected population of Madhya Pradesh in 2019 is 8.45 crores and among them 17% are eligible couples between age group 15 to 49 years, which account to 1.43 crores of women. (Census 2011 Population was 7.27 crore). The unmet need amount to 17 lacks women and contraceptive users are 73 lacks and rest are non-users. The state health infrastructure comprises of 9192 Sub centers, 1171 Primary Health Centers and 334 Community Health centersThe objective of the FPMIS is as follows:To capture the transaction of Family planning program, including use of contraceptive, training, service provision, human resource and availability of FP commoditiesTo obtain use of contraceptive by eligible couplesTo leverage the available data platform to build the FPMIS
